Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University and has been licensed as a Professional Engineer for over 17 years.

His technical and professional affiliations include the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators (CAFI), and the Canadian Society of Forensic Science (CSFS).

Ken has more than 18 years experience in forensic consulting engineering and has also worked as a part-time firefighter. He has instructed numerous seminars on vehicle fire investigations for insurance professionals as well as arson task forces and fire departments.

Ken specializes in truck and heavy equipment fires, vehicle fires, and mechanical failure analysis. He has carried out more than 1200 engineering investigations, including more than 700 vehicle fires, including motorhomes, transport trucks, highway and transit buses, forestry equipment, and farm equipment. Ken has been qualified as an expert in criminal and civil courts.
