 Michelle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor.
Prior to entering the field of forensic engineering, Michelle performed mechanical engineering tests and evaluations for Ford Canada and was an equipment engineer for Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Michelle specializes in vehicle fire investigation, failure analysis, and product liability. She has investigated malfunctions of equipment such as sprinkler systems, heating and refrigeration equipment, and general appliances. Michelle also has experience investigating vehicle fires, including transport trucks, and forestry and farm equipment.
Michelle is a member of many professional and technical associations including the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), and the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators (CAFI). She has participated in many fire investigation seminars relating to structural, vehicle, and appliance fires.
