Richard (Dick) specializes in fire and explosion investigation, natural gas, and propane.

He has over 25 years of experience as a fire and explosion investigator, and an additional 15 years of experience in the natural gas and propane industry. Dick is a past-president of the Ontario chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and an Honorary Life Member. He is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators (CAFI) and the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).

Dick has attended many training courses and seminars relating to all aspects of natural gas and propane fueled appliances and equipment. He has also presented numerous training seminars and lectures on topics such as fire and explosion investigations, natural gas and propane, and fire suppression.

Dick has served as a volunteer firefighter, conducted over 2000 fire and explosion investigations in his career, and has been accepted as an expert witness in all levels of court.
