Bill holds a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota and has comprehensive investigative experience.

In his career, Bill has investigated over 880 fire scenes. He has over 14 years of experience as a fire investigator with the Ontario Fire Marshall's office as well as 15 years of experience as an officer with Peel Regional Police.

Bill has been accepted as an expert in all levels of court and specializes in fire and explosion investigation. He is an active member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and the local Ontario chapter.

Bill has attended yearly training seminars presented by the Ontario Fire College, and has also received training in fire investigation and fire crime detection. Bill has also presented numerous lectures on fire cause determination to various police and fire departments.
